 Career Path

I am a passionate, multidisciplinary engineer who strives to see all sides of an issue in the pursuit of excellence.

After studying Mining Engineering at Queen’s University in Kingston, I began my career working in both underground and open pit mines. This led into a path in custom machine design consulting that allowed for both creativity and hands-on custom fabrication. Projects ranged from consumer product design to manufacturing automation to environmental remediation equipment.

From the heavy industrial sector, I moved to overseeing oil and gas processing and pipeline projects. This involved managing multidisciplinary teams through the Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) process.

From project management, I returned to higher education at the University of Victoria in the Mechanical Engineering department. Research focussed on mechatronics and agro-ecological robotics and resulted in the spinning off of a robotics startup called FAERI.

Currently, I use the skills and experience gained from design engineering and program management, to implement process and software consulting solutions to firms in the Customer Resource Management (CRM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) domains. Specifically helping firms chart a new course as they undergo digital transformation, connecting the organization with the voices of the customer, the product, the factory and the digital twin.

Custom Machine Design

Custom design projects in the wind energy, manufacturing and explosives decontamination industrial sectors.
